As Production/Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the operational activities of the food manufacturing business in Co. Cork. You be joining an established brand and a company that values high standards, dedication and warmth.
Do you have a 3rd level qualification in an Engineering/Science discipline?
Do you have 5 years people and manufacturing management experience gained in the Food industry?Your duties will include:
- Understand and supervise every aspect of the manufacturing process and seek opportunities to improve.
- Cultivate a positive employee working environment on the production floor.
- Provide on the job training to operators and continually update training records. Ensure that all operators know and understand the required production and quality standards.
- Host production and planning meetings as required. Raise all relevant matters. Review capacity, lead-times and raw material availability as required. Effectively communicate production plan to the teams.
- Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives to identify and improve problems, performance and yields and improve automation and digitisation.
- Minimise levels of rework and reject materials wastage. Address quality issues, non-conforming material, etc., as required and in conjunction with the Quality Manager.
- Working with the maintenance engineer, ensure that all equipment is maintained and operated to meet demands while minimising downtime.
- Contribute to the development of annual budgets for operations. Ensure that unit is managed within its agreed budgetary limits.
- Support Plant Health and Safety programs and ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
