CONTRACT: PERMANENT/PART-TIME
WORKING WEEK: Thursday 9.15am to 4.30pm
Friday 9.15am to 7.30pm
Saturday: 9.15am to 1.30pm
REPORTING TO: OPERATIONS MANAGER
REMUNERATION: COMPETITIVE SALARY TO COMMENSURATE WITH RELEVANT EXPERIENCEThe successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of operational and administrative duties that will contribute to the effective running of the day-to-day operations of the credit union. They will mainly be required to work from our sub offices, Tinahely and Hacketstown.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To provide a quality service to members at the counter to enable them to make lodgements, withdrawals, loan draw down and repayments.
- Update direct debit, standing orders, EFT mandates on the computer system.
- Accurately and diligently handle cash, reconcile balances and account for any inconsistencies.
- Through training, develop excellence in dealing with member queries to the highest levels of service across diverse areas such as advising of credit union products, services & complaints etc.
- Ensure compliance with existing and new systems & controls, and policies & procedures.
- Complete other duties as required by the management team.
- Undertake relevant training as deemed necessary by the management team.
- Demonstrate ‘member service’ credentials and an ability and desire to enhance member service at every opportunity.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and also as a team player.
- Excellent administration skills, a strong compliance ethos with a ‘right first time’ approach to work
- Cash handling experience.
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to problem solve and deal with issues as they arise.
- An appreciation and an awareness of the credit union ethos
- QFA, CUA or actively working towards a qualification in either is preferable, although not essential
- Full clean driving licence
- Previous Credit Union experience desirable.
