- Write press releases, news notices, activity plans
- Pitch feature ideas by phone, email, in person to national, regional, trade journalists across broadcast and online.
- Liaise with journalists and clients arrange/ attend meetings
- Monitor media coverage and report results to the wider team and clients
- Attend client events and industry conferences
- Work across 4/5 key brands
- Plan brand social media accounts such as their Twitter, Facebook or Instagram pages with the digital team
- Generate reports on all activity each month to include all relevant press coverage, influencer engagement etc.
- Generate fresh ideas for PR campaign
- Qualification at a minimum in Marketing, Communications or PR equivalent experience considered -Preferred 2-3 years’ experience in relevant role, preferably within an agency environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills – excellent spelling, grammar and proof reading essential as well as having a creative flair
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to details
- Self-motivated to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritise tasks and ensure deadlines are achieved
- Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite of products, as well as other internet tools and technologies such as Gmail, Sprout Social, Hootsuite; internet research and PowerPoint skills are a must
