We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Management Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in managing quarterly and monthly accounts, assisting with year-end processes, and liaising with external auditors. The Management Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining control accounts, and supporting various finance projects.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage quarterly and monthly accounts.
- Take Year End accounts to the Trial Balance stage and liaise with external auditors.
- Reconcile control accounts monthly.
- Post weekly Payroll Journals
- Oversee Stock Control and assist the warehouse manager with quarterly stock counts.
- Manage the Fixed Assets Register
- Prepare Accruals and Prepayments journals quarterly.
- Prepare and file VAT Returns on a bi-monthly basis.
- Produce adhoc reports as required.
- Provide holiday cover for Accounts Payable/Payroll functions.
- Manage IT improvement projects for the finance function.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA), part qualified or qualified by experience.
- Proven experience in management accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software Sage50.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
