- Leadership and Management: Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction in the day-to-day operations of our day services. Collaborate closely with the Assistant CEO to translate organisational goals into actionable plans.
- Transportation Coordination: Oversee the logistical aspects of transportation services, including route planning, driver management, and coordination of vehicles for appointments and outings. Ensure the safety, efficiency, and accessibility of transportation for individuals.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements, including New Directions standards, legislation, and health and safety regulations. Champion a culture of compliance and continuous improvement across day services.
- Staff Management and Development: Lead and inspire a dedicated team of day service managers and staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
- Safeguarding and Advocacy: Fulfill the role of Safeguarding Designated Officer (DO), ensuring the prompt and effective response to safeguarding concerns. Advocate for the rights, dignity, and well-being of individuals supported, promoting a human rights-based approach.
- Quality Assurance and Service Enhancement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of day services. Implement robust systems for monitoring, evaluation, and service review.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including individuals supported, their families, guardians, external agencies, and regulatory bodies. Represent the organisation on external committees and working groups.
- Resource Management: Ensure the effective allocation and utilisation of resources, including staffing, budgetary allocations, and facilities management. Strive to achieve optimal outcomes within allocated resources.
- Degree in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, RNID, or related field (validated by QQI).
- Management qualification.
- Several years of progressive experience in Disability Services, with a proven track record of leadership and management in a multi-unit environment.
- Full driving license.
- In-depth knowledge of the Intellectual Disability sector, including current trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, with a focus on inspiring and empowering teams to achieve excellence.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinking and decision-making skills, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Commitment to person-centered principles, human rights, and advocacy.
- Proven ability to manage change, drive service improvements, and achieve organisational objectives.
- Sound judgment, resilience, and adaptability in complex and challenging situations.
