This work experience programme provides participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for Jobseekers that are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme. Your eligibility for this programme will have to be verified by the Department as part of the application process. If you are in receipt of the Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP) you will be required to transfer to a Jobseekers payment in order to participate on the programme. The successful participant will gain experience while assisting with: • The provision of administrative support in the office ensuring priorities are effectively managed within the day-to-day schedule • Maintaining accurate records of paper and electronic correspondence • Maintaining efficient office systems, including data management and filing. • Assisting with ensuring GDPR compliance requirements are met. • Assisting with any other duties as may be required from time to time.Role Description This is a training and work experience opportunity, no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognized training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. The participant will receive formal/ informal training in the following: Formal Training: - WPEP QQI Work Experience Module - GDPR - Health and Safety Induction Informal Training: - Telephone and Email Etiquette: How to handle incoming and outgoing calls and compose and send professional and effective emails, including promoting the business to potential candidates who are interested in commencing employment with our company. - Posting job advertisements on websites (e.g., JobsIreland, Indeed and LinkedIn) to help recruit new employees. - Calendar Management: Organising and scheduling onboarding inductions - Data Entry: Accurately inputting information onto the company's database - Task Prioritisation: Learning to prioritise tasks based on urgency and importance to maximise productivity. This is a great opportunity to get real life training and experience in an office environment. Participants will receive excellent training and will be supported by the office manager.
