- Building, managing and maintaining relationships with local companies.
- Negotiating rate agreements on a local level only.
- Assisting with RFPs as necessary.
- Seeking out and attracting corporate group business.
- Assist the Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing in building and managing relationships with DMCs and key local providers.
- Assist the CDOSM in building and managing relationships with key tour operators.
- Creating sales strategy for meeting & events in some properties.
- Confident negotiation / persuasion skills with proven ability to close a sale.
- Experienced cold caller able to “knock on doors” to get business.
- Skilled researcher - online and offline - relating to business required, market trends and sourcing new customers.
- Strong customer development and relationship management skills.
- Good knowledge of overall hotel operations.
- Financial management skills e.g. P&L statements, manage operating budgets, forecasting and scheduling.
- Strong communication (verbal, listening, writing) and presentation skills.
- Strong organization and leadership skills.
- Ability to use standard software applications and hotel systems.
