The Europe Divisional finance team is currently recruiting for a Business Controller role. The position’s location which is flexible and open to discussion, is an integral part of the Europe Divisional finance team as it supports Divisional management in the overall execution and co-ordination of the Division’s financial deliverables.Key Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Input and support in the preparation, co-ordination and delivery of all reporting requirements including monthly and quarterly deliverables, annual budgets and strategic plans in addition to presentations and the provision of analysis of results to senior management and other key stakeholders
- Understanding key issues facing the business (pricing / cost analysis/ operating cash performance, forecasts etc.) and providing clear analysis to support decision making.
- Supporting the Division’s capital programme including capex reporting, analysis and the operation and continued development of the Division’s CX Workflow application.
- Review and analysis of financial performance liaising directly with Divisional teams and the wider Group Finance team.
- Engaging with a wide number of stakeholders across a variety of business-related topics and projects leveraging business intelligence tools to provide analysis and insights.
- Other ad hoc information/analysis as requested by senior and executive management
For this role you should be/have:
- Customer Focus (internal)
- Self-starter with ability to adequately plan and organize own work
- Relationship management including building and maintaining good working relationships
- Highly collaborative with ability to build high trust relationships
You are/have:
- Professional accountancy qualification with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience in industry
- 3rd level degree or equivalent course qualification an advantage.
- Advanced knowledge of reporting, budgeting, and forecasting process
- Knowledge of financial modelling and the principles of DCF, IRR, and Payback
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and validate financial and performance data and to communicate financial information and trends in multiple formats including insights using data visualization tools and techniques
- Proven ability to manage workflows with multiple stakeholders in an effective manner
- Good commercial acumen
