Job title - Forklift Driver (Counterbalance)
Pay per hour - €14.00 per hour, increasing to €14.70 after probation (€28,000 > €29,400)
Hours - Day shift hours. 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to friday
Location - M1 Business park, Balbriggan, North Dublin
Contract - temporary, employed with agency. ongoing temporary hours up to 40 per weekResponsibilities:
- Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload goods from delivery vehicles, verifying quantities and inspecting for damages.
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick and pack products according to customer orders, ensuring items are properly labeled and packaged for distribution.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, performing regular stock checks, and reporting discrepancies.
- Material Handling: Operate forklifts and other machinery as needed to move goods within the warehouse while adhering to safety protocols.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for quality and report any defects or irregularities to supervisors.
- Organizational Support: Contribute to the overall cleanliness and organization of the warehouse by arranging stock, maintaining aisle clearances, and adhering to housekeeping standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following best practices for warehouse operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure efficient workflow, effective communication, and successful task completion.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist in various tasks as required, including assisting with special projects, participating in team meetings, and contributing to process improvement initiatives.Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Forklift driver or in a similar role within the logistics or warehouse sector is advantageous but not essential.
- A valid counterbalance licence and Manual handling certificate is required for this role.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling products and orders.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
