The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA testing methodologies, proficiency in defect tracking using JIRA,
and experience with test management tools like Zephyr. Additionally,
familiarity with API testing, test case creation and reviews, test estimation, and reporting to QA Lead are key aspects of this role.Responsibilities:Conduct thorough QA testing activities in alignment with industry standards and best practices within the aviation sector.
Utilize JIRA for effective defect tracking and management, ensuring all issues are properly documented and resolved.
Assist in managing test activities using Zephyr test management tool, including test case creation, execution, and reporting.
Provide regular reporting on testing progress, issues, and risks to the QA Lead, contributing to project transparency and decision-making.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create, review, and execute test cases, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
Assist in estimating testing efforts for new projects and features, considering project requirements and resource availability.
Demonstrate a proactive and self-starting attitude, actively seeking solutions to challenges and continuously learning and improving.
Participate in API testing activities to validate the functionality and performance of backend systems.
Pursue relevant test certifications such as ISTQB to enhance professional development and demonstrate commitment to industry standards.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA testing roles, preferably within the aviation sector.
Proficiency in JIRA for defect tracking and familiarity with test management tool Zephyr.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to stakeholders.
Experience in test case creation, review, and execution, with meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to contribute to test estimation efforts accurately and effectively.
Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Familiarity with API testing principles and methodologies is advantageous.
