About the CompanyClandillon Civil Consulting (CCC) is an Irish civil engineering consultancy that, through its work with many of Ireland's biggest civil engineering contractors, has been involved in some of Ireland's largest recent infrastructure projects including N17 N18 Gort to Tuam Motorway, Luas Cross City, N4 Collooney to Castlebaldwin and N8 Dunkettle Interchange. CCC is dedicated to providing exceptional services in the execution of infrastructure projects and specialises in applying sound judgement to identify opportunities and provide solutions for our clients.Due to growth within the team, CCC is now looking to recruit a Senior CAD / BIM Technician / CAD Lead. The successful candidate will report to Senior Management, working with the engineering teams to lead 3D modelling and digital output, enhance CAD / BIM standards and be take overall responsibility for all drawing and design output.Senior CAD / BIM Lead - The role
  • Lead 3D modelling and digital output
  • Draft, enhance, lead, and maintain CAD / BIM standards
  • Drafting (and overseeing Drafting) of engineering drawings (Civil and Structural) to high standard suitable for use in construction and engineering reports.
  • Development of 3D models.
  • Agreeing workload priorities with CCC management and delegating tasks to CAD / BIM team.
  • Leading digital transformation / BIM initiatives.
  • Production of RC detailing drawings and bar bending schedules (desirable).
  • Input to specifications and pricing documents.
  • Any other duties, as deemed necessary, that fall within the remit and level of the position.
What you need - the skills and competencies
  • A recognised degree or certificate in an engineering discipline.
  • Relevant software courses with a combination of work experience will be considered as an alternative.
  • Strong knowledge of drawing software tools - Autodesk and BIM
  • Knowledge of Revit, Navis Works and Autodesk Civil 3D desirable
  • Relevant industry experience in detailed drafting and application of company standards within a civil infrastructure design environment is desirable.
  • Experience in the detailing of concrete, steel and masonry bridge structures and retaining walls would be a benefit.
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to work on own initiative as required
  • Current right to work in the Republic of Ireland
