We manage Dublin Tunnel, Jack Lynch Tunnel in Cork and the Motorway Traffic Control Centre (MTCC) for Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII).ERTO's responsibility is to manage all processes associated with the Operation and Maintenance of the Dublin Tunnel, Jack Lynch Tunnel and the MTCC. This includes Toll Collection, Traffic Management, Tunnel Safety Management, Emergency and Contingency Planning, Equipment and Infrastructure Inspection and Maintenance. We are located in the Dublin Tunnel Control Building on East Wall Road, Dublin 3.Job descriptionACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDuties will include but are not limited to:
  • Supervising a team of Toll Supervisors & toll control room staff allocating their duties
  • Supervising the Toll Collection System (TCS)
  • Facilitate the implementation of the Dublin Tunnel Toll Plaza Upgrade, for example, procedure reviews & updates, attend site testing and general transition support for the project
  • Coordinate and act as the ERTO representative for the Disability Toll Exemption Scheme
  • Managing the toll control room and associated functionalities of this room
Dealing effectively with motorists' comments, complaints, or suggestions and report to your line manager or Operations and Customer Service Administrator for matters requiring follow-up
  • Representing the Company to the general public, providing information on Dublin Tunnel
  • Monitoring daily traffic flows and recording financial data
  • Collecting tolls & toll control room operation from time to time
  • Performing statistical analysis and toll reporting as required
  • Referring toll claims and violations to the appropriate staff member
Other tasks guided by your line managerProfilePERSON SPECIFICATION
  • A level eight qualification recognised by the National Framework of Qualifications and Quality and Qualifications Ireland (desirable)
  • 5 years of operations and/or tolling experience (desirable)
  • Minimum 3 years of tolling/payments, cash management andsupervisory experience an advantage
  • Previous background / experience in a similar role (desirable)
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills: verbal/written (in English)
  • Computer literacy - Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook in particular
