Process Development Engineer

- Drive product and process improvements within the NPD team.
- Manage new designs through the product lifecycle into manufacturing.
- Ensure alignment of new products with existing manufacturing capabilities.
- Collaborate with Lean and Operations teams to meet world-class manufacturing standards.
- Maintain a customer-centric approach to quality and timeliness.
- Design and implement manufacturing processes for new products.
- Conduct comprehensive validations before transitioning to manufacturing.
- Implement effective technical solutions to problems.
- Uphold high quality/compliance standards in Medical Device manufacturing.
- Apply Lean principles to enhance key process metrics.
- Explore and evaluate new process technologies for competitive advantage.
- Manage relationships with technology providers/suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
- Level 8 Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong mechanical background, especially in laser cutting, laser welding, or machining processes.
- Ability to develop process settings using scientific methodology.
- Proficiency in Six-Sigma methodology and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and innovation.
- Preferable experience with CAD software and statistical analysis tools.
- Experience in high-volume production environments is beneficial.
- Proficient in computer literacy, including Office software.
- Self-motivated with strong decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
