At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.Job OverviewThe NPD (New Process Development) Manufacturing Engineer will specialize in long-term projects involving laser cutting, laser welding, and hypotubes. They will lead Engineering activities within NPD, supporting Manufacturing during new product introductions and developing new process technologies for both existing and new products.Responsibilities:
  • Drive product and process improvements within the NPD team.
  • Manage new designs through the product lifecycle into manufacturing.
  • Ensure alignment of new products with existing manufacturing capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Lean and Operations teams to meet world-class manufacturing standards.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach to quality and timeliness.
  • Design and implement manufacturing processes for new products.
  • Conduct comprehensive validations before transitioning to manufacturing.
  • Implement effective technical solutions to problems.
  • Uphold high quality/compliance standards in Medical Device manufacturing.
  • Apply Lean principles to enhance key process metrics.
  • Explore and evaluate new process technologies for competitive advantage.
  • Manage relationships with technology providers/suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
What your background should look like:Qualifications:
  • Level 8 Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
Key Requirements:
  • Strong mechanical background, especially in laser cutting, laser welding, or machining processes.
  • Ability to develop process settings using scientific methodology.
  • Proficiency in Six-Sigma methodology and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and innovation.
  • Preferable experience with CAD software and statistical analysis tools.
  • Experience in high-volume production environments is beneficial.
  • Proficient in computer literacy, including Office software.
  • Self-motivated with strong decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
