- Provide leadership to the packaging engineering team to ensure equipment OEE targets are achieved.
- Plan and project manage with support from Senior Packaging Manager new product and equipment introductions.
- Maintain packaging standards to meet customer requirements.
- Train, mentor and develop the Casla engineering team.
- Implement the engineering strategy to design-out corrective maintenance and optimize preventive maintenance.
- Manage packaging engineering changes to meet customer requirements and optimize OEE.
- Generate packaging specifications compliant to FDA, HPRA, ISO and other relevant regulations.
- Troubleshoot packaging processes and recommended improvements to streamline productivity output.
- Manage equipment installations and commissioning activities to ensure completion and start up per plan.
- Provide technical guidance in developing engineering reports and investigations associated with packaging.
- Managing internal communications and escalations from operations and other functions as required.
- Implement best practices and compliance to standards for: Engineering, EHS, Quality and GMP.
- Ensure compliance with engineering administration procedures including data entries for planned and unplanned works, line setup up and changeovers.
- Provide leadership on implementation of engineering projects while following procedures and guidelines.
- Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the Senior Engineering Director.
- Ability to set clear goals, communicate these clearly and ensure progress to completion meeting predefined targets.
