Finance Office AdministratorOur client, and Educational Institution is looking to hire a Finance Office Administrator for there Pensions and Investments office on a full time temporary 3 month contractMain purpose of the job:The purpose of the post is to assist in the efficient and effective operations of the Pensions and Investment Office, to ensure compliance with university policies, providing the highest quality of customer service.Main duties and responsibilities:
  • To provide the Pensions and Investment Office with a comprehensive and professional administrative and support service.
  • Managing assigned tasks and prioritising competing tasks to ensure that they are completed on time and to a high standard with excellent attention to detail.
  • Assist with projects within the Pensions and Investment Office e.g. Deferred Statements
  • Maintain own knowledge of relevant University Pension Schemes and keep up to date with legislative developments.
  • Checking work thoroughly to ensure it is completed accurately and to a high standard.
  • Provide the highest quality standards in customer service when dealing with stakeholders.
  • Safeguarding of the University's interests in the processing and payment of data, ensuring compliance with best practice, policy, internal controls and applicable statutory regulations.
  • Any other related duties as specified by Pensions & Investments Manager
Skills required:
  • Pass in 5 subjects at Leaving Certificate level or a recognized post leaving Certificate administrative/ office technology qualification.
  • Relevant employment experience which demonstrates a high level of administrative support in a demanding office environment.
  • Strong Microsoft excel skills (will be tested)
  • Flexibility and ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure.
  • Self motivated and capable of working on own initiative
  • Accuracy in processing and attention to detail is an absolute requirement
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with staff, auditors and other external parties.
  • Excellent IT skills with proficiency in MS office Suite
  • Experience working with payroll
Desirable:
  • Knowledge/experience of public sector pensions and payroll
  • Knowledge and experience in Core payroll, Core HR and related report writing software
  • Experience in managing large complex data
  • Experience working in higher education sector
