- To provide the Pensions and Investment Office with a comprehensive and professional administrative and support service.
- Managing assigned tasks and prioritising competing tasks to ensure that they are completed on time and to a high standard with excellent attention to detail.
- Assist with projects within the Pensions and Investment Office e.g. Deferred Statements
- Maintain own knowledge of relevant University Pension Schemes and keep up to date with legislative developments.
- Checking work thoroughly to ensure it is completed accurately and to a high standard.
- Provide the highest quality standards in customer service when dealing with stakeholders.
- Safeguarding of the University's interests in the processing and payment of data, ensuring compliance with best practice, policy, internal controls and applicable statutory regulations.
- Any other related duties as specified by Pensions & Investments Manager
- Pass in 5 subjects at Leaving Certificate level or a recognized post leaving Certificate administrative/ office technology qualification.
- Relevant employment experience which demonstrates a high level of administrative support in a demanding office environment.
- Strong Microsoft excel skills (will be tested)
- Flexibility and ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure.
- Self motivated and capable of working on own initiative
- Accuracy in processing and attention to detail is an absolute requirement
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with staff, auditors and other external parties.
- Excellent IT skills with proficiency in MS office Suite
- Experience working with payroll
- Knowledge/experience of public sector pensions and payroll
- Knowledge and experience in Core payroll, Core HR and related report writing software
- Experience in managing large complex data
- Experience working in higher education sector
