- Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of commercial products via the RTMS (Real-Time Management System).
- Real-Time Monitoring: Utilize the RTMS or similar system to monitor production activities in real-time, including machine utilization, production progress, operational performance to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and resource availability. Make adjustments as necessary to optimize production flow.
- Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
- Planning: Collaborate with various departments (operations, logistics, maintenance, etc.) to understand resource requirements, capacities, and constraints. Develop resource plans and schedules to ensure smooth workflow and optimal resource allocation.
- Schedule Optimization: Analyze demand patterns, historical data, and real-time inputs to optimize schedules and minimize downtime.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain effective communication channels with relevant stakeholders, including production supervisors, operators, maintenance teams, and customer service representatives. Collaborate to address scheduling conflicts, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery of products or services.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for scheduling and resource management. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance scheduling efficiency.
- Communicate with business stakeholders, managing expectations, and addressing concerns.
- Support the consistent use of Production Scheduling digital tool (RTMS) by the Process Leads and support RTMS updates where necessary.
- Develop new schedules based on changes to products or on the basis of process improvements.
- Relevant 3rd level qualification in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or a related discipline.
- A minimum of eight to ten years in a production/operation related environment preferably Pharma.
- Proven experience in scheduling, planning, or resource management in a dynamic and fast-paced environment preferable Pharma.
- Strong knowledge of project and program management methodologies and industry best practice.
- Proficiency in RTMS or other similar digital planning/scheduling tool desirable.
- Proven track record in dealing with complex issues proactively and in a timely fashion and ability to achieve results within the set timeframe.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team with excellent people management and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to scheduling and resource management.
