The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions that optimize operational efficiency, reliability, and performance. This role requires expertise in Siemens PLCs, HMI/SCADA systems, and networking protocols to ensure seamless integration and automation of industrial processes.Responsibilities:System Design and Implementation:Design and develop automation solutions using Siemens PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand automation requirements and develop system architectures that meet business objectives.Siemens PLC Programming:Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC programs using Siemens TIA Portal or Step 7.Implement control logic for various industrial processes to enhance system performance and reliability.HMI/SCADA Development:Design and configure Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems using Siemens WinCC.Create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for monitoring and controlling automated processes.Networking and Communication:Configure industrial networks, including Ethernet and Profibus, to facilitate communication between different automation components.Troubleshoot and resolve communication issues to ensure a seamless flow of data between PLCs, HMIs, and other devices.Troubleshooting and Maintenance:Conduct regular system diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and address automation issues promptly.Implement preventive maintenance procedures to ensure the long-term reliability of automation systems.Documentation:Create comprehensive technical documentation, including system design specifications, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.Keep documentation up-to-date with any changes made to the automation systems.Collaboration and Training:Collaborate with other engineering teams, maintenance personnel, and operators to ensure effective communication and coordination.Provide training and support to end-users on the proper use and maintenance of automation systems.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.Proven experience in designing, programming, and maintaining Siemens PLCs (TIA Portal or Step 7).Strong background in configuring Siemens HMI/SCADA systems (WinCC).In-depth knowledge of industrial networking protocols (Ethernet, Profibus).Familiarity with process control and instrumentation.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong communication and collaboration abilities.Preferred:Siemens certification in PLC programming or HMI/SCADA development.Experience with ANC solutions in manufacturing or process industries.Familiarity with other automation systems and technologies.Why Join Catalyx?At Catalyx we understand that our people are our greatest asset.
