We’re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.Outline of Role:The Maintenance shift expert technician (Co-ordinator) will be the Lilly shift maintenance representative in Small Molecule and Peptides manufacturing + ECU, overseeing Maintenance activities on shift to ensure smooth running of the business. The expert technicians will assist the Senior expert technicians (planner), in the completion of maintenance tasks, in allocating crews and in escalating issues as they occur. The expert technician will actively look to reduce the maintenance backlog and ensure that the business runs smoothly. The expert technician will have intimate knowledge of the SM + Peptides maintenance business, and this will be the crucial link between the production shift supervisors and craft on shift. The position will not be discipline specific- Mechanical or E&I. This is a shift position, and the shift pattern may vary as per production demands.Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for oversight of the maintenance crews in assigning jobs in the evenings and weekends across Small Molecule and Peptides manufacturing + ECU.
Attend daily Prioritisation meetings in Small Molecule and Peptides manufacturing + ECU as required.
CMMS Power user - searching for applicable spares, creating / routing and assigning craft Work Orders.
Develop and capture the maintenance knowledge management element of Small Molecule and Peptides manufacturing + ECU maintenance.
Work with Senior expert technician per area and maintenance craft, in the execution and completion of corrective and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth running of the business.
Be the compliance link for craft on shift to ensure smooth execution of work through the CMMS.
Maintenance lead for the workshops per discipline- responsibility for Workshop 5S program.
Actively reduce the Corrective maintenance backlog.
Respond to all production escalations as they happen.
Work with the shift functional team in Small Molecule and Peptides manufacturing + ECU.

Daily Operations Management

Assist the Senior expert technician (Planner) in everyday running of the maintenance department.
Shift point of contact for the floor- when Senior expert technician is not available.
Manage Shift handovers within the Maintenance Function, ensuring Knowledge is accurately transferred from Shift to Shift and where escalation within and outside the Function is required.
Assign work to maintenance craft when needed- backlog reduction.
Reduce the maintenance metrics by assisting in actively seeking to reduce the maintenance backlog.
Link in with Production supervisors on planned/unplanned(shift) maintenance and prioritisation.
Attend Production (Shift) meetings as required.
Input and participation for Continuous Improvement projects.

People Management

There will be no direct reports to this position, this position will coordinate workload on shift as required.

Pre-Requisites:

Deep technical knowledge of Small Molecule and Peptides manufacturing + ECU maintenance an advantage.
Pharmaceutical maintenance experience in the last two years an advantage.
Ability to troubleshoot and document work methods and Instructions.
Ability to make decisions based on experience and compliance/business knowledge.

Minimum Educational Requirements:

Mechanical fitter-MAMF QQI Level 6 or equivalent.
E&I Craft QQI Level 6 or equivalent.
