We would like to invite applications for the following full-time permanent role;Day Centre Support Worker with Administration dutiesLucan, Co.DublinIWA is committed to promoting, maintaining and adding to our diverse and inclusive work environmentAs a Day Centre Support Worker with Administration duties, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the development, implementation, and administration of various programmes, projects, and individualized supports for our members engaging in the Community Centre. With a strong focus on administrative efficiency, you will ensure seamless operations and facilitate the active participation of individuals with disabilities in the community through carefully designed developmental, personal, and social inclusion programmes. Your responsibilities will extend to managing essential administrative tasks and duties vital to the successful execution of the programme, including covering the reception desk for the centre.LiaisonClose liaison is required with Community Centre staff and members for the successful implementation of this position. Links will also be made with relevant voluntary and statutory agencies, families and friends of members.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesKeep relevant and up to date IWA record systemsPrepare and maintain records as required by the Community Centre Manual and Community Centre Coordinator.Support an efficient office environmentAssist the Service Coordinator in ensuring a quality person centred service is provided to members.Support and develop Individual service plans and reviewsSupport the working of the front desk.Develop and lead the implementation of Community Centre Programmes as set by the Community Centre Coordinator, in line with the Service Plan.Support and develop new initiatives in the area.Facilitate opportunities for members to access community facilities and engage in community and other activities.Actively ensure that standards and practices regarding health and safety are fully adhered to in all Community Centre activities and in the centre itself. Record and report any hazards or accidents to the Community Centre Coordinator.Support individual members in line with the Associations Person Centred Approach and through the Individual Support Service.Accompany and support participants on annual holidays, outings, social and day trips as required.Assist members in all aspects of personal care and daily living as identified by the service user.Ensure that your work and interactions with others promote and enhances the independence of the person using the service.Undertake training as directed by the Community Centre CoordinatorAssist with safe transportation in line with requirements of the Transport Handbook guidelines.Clamping lifting equipment, patient moving and handling and hoist are all essential requirements for this roleCarry out any other duties and / or responsibilities which may be assigned to you from time to timePERSON SPECIFICATIONTraining, Experience and QualificationsA minimum of 5 completed modules of QQI level 5 (Major Award) Care Support or similar qualification is essential.
