Our client is an established garden design, landscape build and garden maintenance company working mostly in the Greater Dublin area. They require a Landscape Operative for their landscape maintenance division.You will have:A minimum of 3 years general landscape experienceBasic knowledge of machinery use and upkeepGood plant knowledge, qualification in Horticulture is desirable but not essentialAbility to use a range of garden and landscape toolsAbility to use initiative and take pride in delivering a high standard of workAbility to listen, follow instructions and communicate with the teamGood communication and customer service skillsKey Responsibilities:
You willBe performing garden/landscape maintenance tasks such as grass cutting/strimming, edging, weed control, hedge pruning/cutting and trimming, planting shrubs, trees and seasonal bedding, ground clearance, sports ground maintenance, and any other tasks associated with grounds maintenance to the highest company standards
Previous garden maintenance operations experience is essential – excellent knowledge of plants, soil, planting & establishment techniques in addition to the ability to use a variety of garden machinery, mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers etc.Adhere to all Health & Safety policies at all timesWorking in the landscape and maintenance division as part of the team·
Ensuring machinery and or equipment used is kept clean and fuel level check daily·
