- Oversee compliance issues in garment factories located in China, Cambodia, and Bangladesh, ensuring adherence to local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Supervise and coordinate social and technical audits across factories, working closely with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with ethical, labor, and safety requirements.
- Stay up to date with new audit standards, regulations, and sustainable certificates within the garment industry, and ensure their effective implementation across factories.
- Conduct regular reviews of compliance processes and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
- Collaborate with factory management teams to develop and implement corrective actions based on audit findings, ensuring continuous improvement in compliance performance.
- Maintain effective communication channels with factory stakeholders, including management, workers, and external partners, to address compliance-related concerns and provide necessary guidance.
- Attend supplier compliance conferences, either online or in-person, to stay updated on industry trends, network with peers, and represent the company's commitment to ethical sourcing and compliance.
- Provide training and guidance to factory personnel on compliance-related topics, including labor rights, health and safety practices, and ethical standards.
- Prepare reports and analytics on compliance performance across factories, highlighting areas of improvement and recommending strategies to ensure long-term compliance sustainability.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- With a minimum of 8 years of experience in compliance position, preferably in Garment, Textile, Apparel industry.
- Proven experience in managing compliance issues in the garment industry, preferably in at least two of the following regions: China, Cambodia, or Bangladesh .
- In-depth knowledge of social compliance standards, labor laws, and ethical practices within the garment manufacturing context.
- Familiarity with technical compliance requirements, including safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental practices.
- Strong understanding of international audit standards and sustainable certificates
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Ability to analyze complex compliance issues, identify risks, and develop practical solutions.
- Proficiency in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
- Willingness to travel to factory locations as necessary for audits, training, and meetings.
