Categories: Professoriate StaffApplications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Clinical Associate Professor/ Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 525845), to commence as soon as possible, on a four-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second four-year fixed-term contract, subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong and a specialist qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, i.e. Fellowship of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Obstetrics and Gynaecology). Applicants should have a proven capacity and potential in high-quality research, and demonstrated excellence in teaching and student supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. They must also demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, and be able to contribute to the enhancement and development of medical and health sciences courses in the Faculty. Those with experience of having successfully developed and submitted research grants and worked effectively with major international partners and funding agencies; interacting effectively across multiple sectors; and establishing and managing studies involving colleagues from different disciplinary backgrounds may be favourably considered.The appointee will undertake teaching responsibilities, and organize and develop both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. He/She is expected to conduct high-quality scholarly research, provide clinical service and patient care at the University's teaching hospital, and participate in services/administration at Departmental, Faculty and University levels. The appointee is also expected to play a key role in leading the development of academic scholarship and teaching programmes of the Department. Information about the Department can be obtained atA highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. A monthly cash allowance will be offered to the successful candidate. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.The University only accepts online application for the above post.
