Miramar Group is a member of Henderson Land Group, with a diversified business portfolio covering hotels and serviced apartments, property investment, food and beverage and travel services in Hong Kong and major cities in China.Due to substantial expansion plans, we are now looking for a Quality Assurance Manager - Food Hygiene & Safety to join our Group.Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all the Food Hygiene & Safety (FHS) matters of Food and Beverage business unit in order to ensure compliance with legal requirements including the Hong Kong Food Safety Ordinance
  • Support Group Food & Beverage through the implementation and integration of plans policies, procedures and management of FHS systems, which encourages a culture of food hygiene & safety in order to contribute positively to the Group’s productivity
  • Act as a key investigation officer when serious incident happens, in order to find out the root cause and prepare the remedial action plan, and follow up the associated actions
  • Make immediate decision to forbid any harmful impact to FHS / the Group compliance/ legal requirements
  • Manage emergency response plan to deal with emergency situations for the FHS and those working for the Group
  • Develop and implement trainings, workshops and good practices. Provide technical/training support on all new product development ensuring all FHS control are checked and implemented based on HACCP/ ISO principles
  • Consult and assist with the coordination of relevant FHS audits and makes recommendations to continuously improve processes and outcomes, in accordance with the annual/ regular organizational audits
  • Manage the total budget for the overall FHS programs to deliver required KPIs
Requirement:
  • Degree in Food Science and/ or Nutritional Sciences or related discipline
  • At least 8 years relevant experience in a sizeable organization, and 2 to 3 years at similar position. Preferably with experience in implementing ISO 22000 standards within the context of food manufacturing
  • In-depth knowledge of Hong Kong Food Safety regulations and recognized qualifications in food hygiene & safety management, such as HACCP and ISO 22000 or equivalent. Certification standards (BRC, ISO, AIB) are preferred
  • Solid experience in the development and implementation of corporate policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Hands-on and practical with good organizational, communication and problem solving skills
  • Good time management and able to work independently under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in computer skills including MS Office
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
