- Legal and Compliance Audits:
- Establish and lead the legal and compliance audit department.
- Conduct audits to assess compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, such as ISO and JSOX, and ensure timely completion.
- Identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
- Drafting and Reviewing Legal Documents:
- Draft and review agreements, contracts, company policies, and other legal documents.
- Ensure legal documents are accurate, compliant, and protect the organization's interests.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to negotiate and finalize contractual agreements.
- Legal Advice and Support:
- Provide legal advice and guidance to business units on legal and compliance matters.
- Advise on regulatory issues, contracting matters, and other legal concerns.
- Support management decision making by offering legal perspectives and recommendations.
- Coordination and Liaison:
- Correspond with internal and external stakeholders during audits and legal matters.
- Liaise and coordinate with external lawyers and professional advisers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal and compliance requirements.
- Ad-Hoc Assignments:
- Perform ad-hoc assignments and projects as required to support legal and compliance initiatives.
- Stay updated with industry practices, regulations, and market trends.’
- Bachelor's degree in law or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a legal and compliance role.
- Hands-on experience in the legal and audit field, preferably in the electronics/trading industry.
- In-house relevant working experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Hong Kong law and market practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Chinese typing.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Cantonese language skills.
- Proficiency in Japanese (Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 2 or above) is a must.
- Well-organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken Mandarin is a strong advantage.
