- Apply strong accounting and taxation knowledge to complete month end close process and to handle statutory audits and tax filings
- Generate accurate management reports and perform analysis on financial information.
- Assist in overseeing the month end close process of Asia and managing the daily accounting operations of Asia regional office in Hong Kong.
- Assist in supervising a team of staff and provide guidance.
- Review client’s contracts and ensure proper revenue recognition.
- Perform analytical reviews on financial results on a monthly basis.
- Review journal entry vouchers and balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents and professionals regarding audit, tax and other regulatory matters for Asia entities.
- Manage and oversee annual statutory audits, tax and secretarial compliance for Asia entities.
- Respond to enquiries from the US head office and Asia offices.
- Assist in streamlining workflow and procedures including working with accounting system support team to improve efficiency and enhance control of the system.
- Ensure internal controls in compliance with SOX.
- Assist in managing projects and ad-hoc assignments as required.
- Qualified accountant.
- At least 5 years’ related experiences, of which 2 years or above in supervisory role at sizable companies, and MNC and/or Big 4 audit experience is highly preferred.
- Strong accounting and taxation knowledge in Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc.
- High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in system implementation would be advantageous
- Strong written and communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical and project management skills.
