- Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN in both mainstream and specialized classrooms.
- Assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalized learning strategies.
- Collaborating closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create inclusive and engaging learning experiences.
- Promoting independence and self-confidence among students with SEN through positive reinforcement and encouragement.
- Monitoring student progress and reporting any concerns to the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and relevant stakeholders.
- Creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs and disabilities is highly desirable.
- A compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with SEN.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students in various educational settings.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special education, such as CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning, would be advantageous but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS or willing to apply for one
- Must have lived in the UK for a minimum of 6 months
