Approved Mental Health Professional

• Our Mental Health and AMHP Team needs a qualified and experienced Approved Mental Health Professional.
• AMHP's must be able to provide recent examples and references, within the last five years, of Mental Health Act assessments.
• We expect all AMHP's to be able to respond to any Mental Health Act assessments for Denbighshire citizens, both in the community and hospital settings.
• As the frequency of MH Act assessments is difficult to predict, you will be provided with a brief of work which will also include being part of the Duty roster, completing 117 reviews and other duties, as required.
• There will be days covering AMHP duties which may include Friday's and also some casework.
• Candidates must be registered with Social Care Wales and be able to start within two weeks of any offer of contract.
• We are looking for team members who can work on their own initiative and provide regular updates on their activities and progress to the Team Manager and Deputy Team Manager.
• These are 37 hour posts, however any additional hours after 17:00 for assessments which have overrun will be paid at the same rate.
• This post is based in the Community Mental Health Team in Russell House, Rhyl but the post will cover the whole of Denbighshire.

• 18 years' experience of the Social Work market
