Successful Participant will gain experience in the following: Shop Merchandising, Shop floor tasks Window Dressing, stock room tasks including Sorting, pricing and preparing stock for the shop floor, Customer Service, using a Cash Register, IT including Microsoft Office and updating the shops daily Cash sheets.Role Description This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP. The participant will receive formal/informal training and mentoring in the following: Formal Training: Manual Handling-2 year Certificate presented on Completion, My Compliance of Enable Ireland's Policies and Procedures including it's Health & Safety Statement; and First Aid Training with a 2 year certificate on completion. Informal Training: Ongoing Informal training and supervision will be provided to the successful applicant in order to gain the practical experience in: Customer Service Merchandising and stock display Stock taking/stock control Till Operations Cashing Up. Retail sales skills which can be advantageous when seeking work in this field.
