TRANSPORT SUPERVISORFULL TIME - PERMANENTIMMEDIATE STARTSiamo Recruitment is currently looking for a Transport Supervisor to work for our client, on of the UK's leading logistics companies, at their site in Rugby, CV21.Shifts:Monday to Friday 06:00 AM - 2:00 PM with flexibility especially around public holidaysSalary:£31,500 per annumPrincipal Accountabilities:Ensure compliance with all legislative/corporate requirements relating to transportManage cost and service in line with agreed KPI'sEnsure quality standards are maintained in line with OTIF measuresDirect the daily activity ensuring a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team membersEnsure the team achieves the performance targets and contributes to the achievement of service levelsEnsure route planning is accurate and effective and delivers exceptional service levels dailyLiaise with the Warehouse teams ensuring loads are completed accurately and on timeEnsure returns are maximisedLiaise with customer services to improve customer satisfaction in line with business targetsMaintain employee satisfaction, applying good Leadership and Employee engagement practicesEnsure compliance with the organisations health, safety and security proceduresPromote and behave in a way consistent with the organisation's vision, values, and principalsEffectively communicate with team, peers, and ManagementCommunicate and support implementation of internal improvement tools and techniquesContribute towards projects that drive down cost / improve serviceActively manage cost, utilising management information to determine and act on trendsCompetencies, skills & experience required:Experience as a transport first line managerProven experience of delivering excellent customer serviceAbility to plan and manage your own workload and communicate effectivelyKnowledge of transport legislation, Working Time Directive, Drivers hoursPC literate: Microsoft Office package, with ability to learn in house systemsExperience of working in an operational/transport environmentIf this sounds like the right position for you, please apply today.
