Join our team as an Individual Needs Assistant.Job DescriptionAs an Individual Needs Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to support students with special educational needs in a classroom setting. This includes providing one-on-one assistance, helping with personal care needs, and implementing individual education plans. You will collaborate closely with teachers and other support staff to create a supportive learning environment for all students.Required Qualifications:- A genuine passion for working with individuals with special educational needs- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work effectively in a team environment- Basic understanding of relevant legislation and policies related to special educational needsEducation:A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths is required. Additional qualifications in special educational needs or relevant field are desirable.Experience:Prior experience working with individuals with special educational needs is advantageous.Knowledge and Skills:- Understanding of different learning styles and strategies to support students with diverse needs- Ability to adapt to changing situations and demonstrate flexibility in approach- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectivelyPreferred Qualifications:- Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools- First Aid certificationWorking Conditions:You will be working in a classroom environment within a school setting. This role may require some physical activity and the ability to provide personal care assistance to students.
