Critical to the successful implementation of change, our Business Analysts help business users to articulate the opportunity or problem, evaluate options and specify the business and IT changes that satisfy the business needs.You will be a member of the Business Analysis team, and could be assigned to any initiative in the OSB Change Portfolio which reflects a significant investment in our core products, the optimisation of our business processes, the fulfilment of our regulatory obligations and the refresh of our technical landscape.BAs work collaboratively within their project teams aligned with the Programme or Project manager, Business Sponsors and Subject Matter Experts, Architects, Developers, Test and Business Change professionals.At OSB, our BAs are supported by a friendly BA community for guidance on local standards, coaching and learning.We are now looking for a Business Analyst Tier 2 to join us in either Wolverhampton or Chatham.About UsThe OSB Group is a FTSE 250 specialist mortgage lender, primarily focused on carefully selected segments of the mortgage market.Our specialist lending is supported by our Kent Reliance and Charter Savings Bank retail savings franchises.   • Conducting discovery analysis to quantify the problem or opportunity within the competitive environment, the business process landscape, the current IT and data solutions.
  • Supporting business decision-making through the identification and evaluation of solution options.
  • Stakeholder identification and management both to reflect a wide range of stakeholder perspectives and to optimise the change journey of the stakeholders with clear communication and upfront work-planning.
  • The elicitation, analysis, specification, validation and verification of business requirements for the selected solution. Requirements will reflect both functional and non-functional perspectives. Requirements elaboration may require a range of artefacts such as Journey models, Use Case diagrams, Business Process models (we use BPMN notation), Information and Data models to provide business and technical teams with context and precision.
  • Deliver the requirements traceability appropriate to the change initiative typically from desired business outcome through requirements to software developments and acceptance testing.
  • Support defined changes through to benefit realisation with a range of tasks including project change evaluation and implementation; RAID identification, specification and mitigation, resolution of defects arising from Test where relevant to the service definition and implementation support.
In return for your commitmentWe offer a base salary dependent on experience starting at £43,000 and a competitive benefits package including:

Could you be the one?We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below:
  • Previous work experience as a Business Analyst within the Financial Services industry is preferable.
  • Strong knowledge of describing customer journeys, process modelling, data modelling, test defect triage, stakeholder management and traceability matrix is essential.
  • We value BA Professional Certification such as the IIBA’s CBAP or the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis.
  • A toolkit of BA techniques to facilitate the elicitation, analysis, specification and management of Business Requirements.
