- Teaching courses within the Elementary Education Degree Completion (ATD) program with either a multiple subjects or single subject emphasis.
- Advising teacher candidates in programs of study to ensure they meet the required competencies for Oregon licensure.
- Presenting assessment data for national accreditation to the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP).
- Communicating effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.
- By actions, words, and lifestyle, be a Christian role model to students, whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.
- Demonstrating awareness, respect, and appreciation for diversity of culture, background, race, sex, political views, expressions of faith, etc. and works well with a variety of people.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A Master's Degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
- Licensure at the elementary or secondary level, with recent experience and endorsements.
- A commitment to working with a diverse population of students; demonstrated experience in this area is preferred.
- Availability to teach in person, online, as well as virtually for synchronous delivery.
- A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a church. In addition, employees agree to live in agreement with the Community Lifestyle Statement and affirm the theological commitments expressed in the Statement of Faith.
- Appointment at the Assistant Professor level is anticipated, though candidates with significant teaching experience at previous institutions and a terminal degree may be considered for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor. Salary and benefits are competitive with comparable institutions.
