Job Opportunity: Quantity SurveyorSalary: Depends on level of experience (£40,000 – £55,000 per annum)Location: Newcastle, County DownBlackfox Solutions are delighted to be recruiting for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our client's family-run construction company based near Newcastle, County Down. This company specialise in delivering a range of construction services, including design and build, civil engineering, and project management, for local projects in Northern Ireland.Role Overview:As a Quantity Surveyor with this company, you'll play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of their projects, ranging from £50,000 to £4,000,000. Working closely with the team, you'll utilise your expertise to ensure the successful delivery of our projects while maintaining cost-effectiveness and profitability.Key Responsibilities:

Interpret designs and tender documentation
Prepare accurate and commercially viable tender estimates
Manage project costs and cash flow effectively
NEC Contracts
Procure sub-contractors and oversee contract adherence
Coordinate contractual claims or disputes
Conduct procurement management for optimal purchasing

Requirements:

Minimum 4/5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying
Strong understanding of construction industry practices
Proficiency in cost analysis and financial reporting
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Flexible and adaptable approach to work
Experience with local Northern Ireland projects is advantageous
