Senior Stock Analyst Role OverviewNC Associates are supporting a globally operating and industry leading organisation as they require a Senior Stock Analyst to join their Duty Compliance Team. This is a business-critical position with a core focus to ensure that accurate stock positions are held internally to allow for key decision making in relation to cash forecasting, risk management and operational planning.You will work closely with the trading and operations teams, playing an instrumental part in ensuring that the business remains compliant of its obligations to the UK Government. You will also play a key role in supporting the Business Transformation Team to ensure that the new supply chain management system is sufficiently tested and reconciled.You will be responsible for the delegation of duties for one direct report and will provide support and mentoring in line with the company’s core values.Senior Stock Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Stock reconciliations and detailed analytical work
  • Forecasting of the company’s Compulsory Stock Obligation
  • Preparation of monthly returns to the Department for Energy Security
  • Testing and reconciliation of the company’s Supply Chain Management system
  • Review and sign off of monthly SOX controls.
  • Management of one direct report – delegating workflow, mentoring and identifying any training needs.
  • Creating new processes and controls as required and training the wider team on best practice.
  • Troubleshooting any issues to prevent any stock discrepancies.
Senior Stock Analyst Experience Required
  • Previous Analytical experience in a similar capacity (3 years +)
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage large volumes of complex data.
  • A Finance or business-related degree is desirable although not essential.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Inventory reporting experience is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage queries and discrepancies accordingly.
  • People leadership skills, with the ability to proactively develop and mentor one team member
  • A desire to develop in an analytical career path.
  • A positive and proactive approach and mentality to tasks and duties with the ability to work alongside a friendly and inclusive team
