As our organization continues to grow and expand, we are seeking an experienced, highly motivated and visionary Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to lead our nursing departments with the desire to preserve our heritage of delivering high-quality services in the setting of continued growth. The CNO will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the strategic direction of our nursing services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within the nursing team. We are seeking an experienced executive level nurse leader, master's degree preferred, with acute care experience in suburban and urban markets.Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) Tennessee license with a bachelor's degree in Nursing is required. A master's degree in nursing or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive acute-care nursing and leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices in nursing care.
- Proven track record of leading successful quality, safety, and patient experience improvement initiatives as well as achieving measurable improvements in patient outcomes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship/team-building skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire others.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analyze complex issues, and develop innovative solutions as part of the problem-solving process
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and resources effectively.
- Ethical integrity/character, ability to move quickly/make timely decisions and changes when necessary. Multitask/manage multiple competing priorities at the same time.
- Technology expertise in dealing with EHR and other tools for things like managing productivity and OR scheduling, etc.
- Commitment to promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the nursing department and across the organization.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for all nursing services within the organization.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in nursing care.
- Collaborate with other members of the executive team to develop and execute strategic initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes and enhancing the overall patient experience.
- Oversee the recruitment, retention, and development of nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care delivered across the organization, implementing quality and safety improvement initiatives as needed.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, and other healthcare professionals to promote effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Manage the nursing department budgets and resources effectively, ensuring optimal utilization of resources while maintaining high standards of care. Including the use of innovative productivity and staffing models?
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and developments in nursing practice and healthcare delivery, incorporating innovative approaches into nursing services where appropriate.
- Represent the organization in professional nursing forums and associations, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare community.
- Serve as the leader for Incident Command. Remains calm under pressure, has experience with crisis management, and able to quickly make decisions.
