We work together to drive ambition for every future!PurposeLead and oversee the U.S. Liquidity Reporting & Analytics team for Scotiabank ensuring regulatory compliance, enhancing liquidity reporting analytics, driving data integrity, and supporting U.S. Treasury strategy. This role is crucial in supporting the Bank’s growth efforts, strengthening the existing liquidity reporting framework and ensuring preparedness for Category III FBO requirements.What You’ll Do
  • Lead the U.S. Liquidity Reporting Framework ensuring production and delivery of accurate and timely daily liquidity reports for internal and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to the FR 2052a Report, Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Cash Flow Projections, Early Warning Indicators.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. regulatory requirements such as Enhanced Prudential Standards Regulation YY, including oversight of changes to regulatory reporting standards and guidelines.
  • Lead the U.S. Liquidity Stress Testing (LST) program and enhance for changing market conditions, new business initiatives, and evolving regulatory expectations.
  • Lead the Resolution Plan capabilities build-out for U.S. Treasury and support the bank-wide strategic roadmap to make necessary enhancements and implement an improved operating model.
  • Preparation and presentation of liquidity reporting materials to senior management committees such as U.S. Asset Liability Committee and U.S. Finance Committee.
  • Represent the liquidity reporting team in external regulatory exams and internal second and third line of defense reviews.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a growing team of liquidity reporting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Understand how Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, mathematics or economics
  • Master’s degree, recognized professional designation in a specialized area of finance or business (CFA/Accounting), is an asset
  • 7-10+ years of experience in a Treasury or Liquidity Risk Management role
  • Proficiency in U.S. liquidity regulations (Reg YY, FR2052a, LCR, LST, NSFR)
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and project management skills and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence executives across the organization
  • Strong leadership skills to develop and manage a team
