Your day to day:As a software engineer, you will be part of an international team (RO, DE) responsible for developing strategic tools used by Vodafone DE in design & implementation activities. Your work involves research into finding and implementing the proper technical solutions that correspond to business requirements and fit Vodafone's strategy. The developed solutions are complex, containing databases, business logic, user interfaces and integrations with other components and systems. In this process you will have the opportunity to experiment various technologies and tools.With these activities, you will have a great impact on our business:

Develop well-structured code following company standards
Document enhancements and system changes
Ability to excel in a distributed team model environment
Impact analysis on other systems
Coordinate code development and delivery process based on requirements, considering all the aspects of the product development life cycle
Provide accurate estimates (time & effort) for upcoming features based on specifications

With these skills, you are a great candidate:

3-4 years in writing SQL, PL/SQL queries
Experience in software development: Java servlet, Maven
Versioning systems (Git, SVN)
Agile experience (preferably Scrum)
Linux/Unix experience
Liquidbase experience
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Advanced knowledge in software lifecycle management and best practices involved
Google Web Toolkit knowledge is a plus
German (written and spoken) is a plus
