Excel / Bluestar / AX Programmer Experience - 3-5 Years Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Excel / Bluestar / AX Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing and maintaining Excel-based solutions, familiarity with Bluestar point-of-sale systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics AX (now Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations). This role requires strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and the capability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions. The Excel / Bluestar / AX Programmer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing software solutions to improve business processes, enhance efficiency, and support decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Develop Excel-based tools, macros, and VBA scripts to automate processes, manipulate data, and generate reports. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze needs, and propose effective solutions. Design, develop, test, and maintain integrations between Bluestar point-of-sale systems and other software applications. Customize and extend functionality within Microsoft Dynamics AX / Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations to meet business requirements. Troubleshoot issues, debug code, and provide timely resolution to technical problems. Ensure compliance with coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines. Provide technical documentation, training, and support to end-users as needed. Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and software updates related to Excel, Bluestar, and Microsoft Dynamics AX / Dynamics 365. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, business analysts, and end-users to drive successful project outcomes. Participate in project planning, estimation, and prioritization activities. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as a programmer or developer with a focus on Excel, Bluestar, and Microsoft Dynamics AX / Dynamics 365. Proficiency in Excel including advanced functions, formulas, pivot tables, and VBA scripting. Familiarity with Bluestar point-of-sale systems and the retail industry is preferred. Strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics AX / Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations architecture, modules, and customization capabilities. Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
