This person will work directly with our skilled team of the Austin Road Group on our highway and bridge projects throughout Texas. In this role you will be a part of a growing team and contribute to transportation designs and mentoring of other staff members. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated with a strong technical background in H&H modeling.Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the efforts in preparing contract drainage drawings, specifications, and estimates, while also overseeing the creation of project-specific drainage/hydraulic reports and technical documentation
  • Conduct cross drainage hydraulic analysis and design
  • Conduct drainage analysis and design per the requirements of the project and transportation public agencies such as TxDOT
  • Preparation and review of FEMA CLOMR and LOMRs
  • Preparation of storm sewer, cross drainage, and floodplain models using Open Roads Designer (ORD), ORD Drainage and Utilities (ORD DU), HY-8, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Registered PE in Texas
  • 5+ years of experience working on drainage-related projects
  • Experience using HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (steady, unsteady flow, and two-dimensional), ORD DU, and/or other drainage analysis software
  • Preferred CFM certification
  • Floodplain mapping experience is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
