Abatec is looking to appoint an experienced Sub Agent on a freelance contract to join a leading Tier 1 contractor currently working at Hinkley Point C, a multi-billion-pound major project in the southwest.The successful candidate will have several years of experience in the civil engineering industry, capable of self-delivery, and substantial experience in reinforced concrete / structures (RC) works.As Sub Agent you will:

Have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in delivery of civil engineering schemes consisting of structures and infrastructure.
Check drawings and quantities, ensuring the accuracy of calculations.
Assist in the management of Site Engineers
Comply with the site-specific health and safety protocols to ensure any health and safety concerns are identified and reported as necessary.

Our client requires a Sub Agent with:

Understanding of survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical, and digital levels).
Valid CSCS / SMSTS
A good understating of construction health & safety protocols.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience in Groundworks, Earthworks, and RC structures works.
Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent is desirable.
Due to the nature of the scheme the successful candidate will be required to undergo SC clearance.

Salary/Benefits:

£400 – £450 PAYE
