- Read & interpret various types of construction drawings, equipment specifications, and electrical code
- Master the reading and interpretation of blueprints to complete installation and coordination
- Have and maintain all required tools; use them appropriately
- Skilled at operating all tools, equipment, and machinery necessary to complete construction
- Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems
- Perform system layout and installation support to team members working under your lead
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems using appropriate testing devices
- Inspect electrical components and installations for quality control
- Coordinate and oversee the performance of subcontractors to maintain the schedule
- Maintain daily logs detailing job progress, delays, constraints, or issues affecting completion
- Attend regular project meetings and develop completion timelines
- Perform all work in compliance with both company policy and OSHA regulations
- Communicate effectively with different personalities while showing proper attention to detail.
- Necessary physical requirements including the ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs., work at various heights, and work in varying weather environments
- Ability to work whatever hours necessary to meet job requirements
- Determine if individuals can perform to their classification and assign tasks suited to that ability
- Maintain safe work conditions including the availability and usage of proper tools and resources
- Train and educate fellow team members where possible and necessary
- Provide guidance and encouragement for team members
- Receive and confirm accurate material deliveries on lighting, gear, and miscellaneous
- items to keep the project within budget
- Ensure deliveries of all purchases accurately match shipping details
- Work with management to resolve any material concerns or shortages
- Dress and groom in a clean, neat, presentable manner while working.
- Keep company vehicle, equipment, and personal tools clean and well operating.
- Always provide competent leadership while setting a positive example for fellow team members.
- Handle difficult customers, diagnostic issues, and pressure situations in a controlled manner.
- 5 or more years experience in the electrical industry, including experience running work.
- Own basic hand tools and experience working with hand tools, power tool and electronic test equipment
- Formal apprenticeship training is preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass any pre-employment screenings including drug test
