- Undertake keyword research and competitor analysis in conjunction with the Digital Enablement Programme outputs
- Assist the Head of Digital Growth and Product Development with both on-site and off-site audits
- Collaborate with the wider StoryHouse team, developers and any other external agencies to streamline and prioritise the implementation of
- SEO initiatives as part of each client's ongoing site development work
- Analyse and interpret data to provide actionable insights and recommendations
- Create customised Google Data Studio Dashboard to highlight key performance metrics and discuss in detail with client stakeholders
- Assist with the development of digital campaigns including liaison with StoryHouse or other media agencies
- Ensure all creative elements have been tagged for tracking purposes within major analytics platforms
- Leverage any external media campaigns and identify any major opportunities or risks to SEO performance
- Analyse link profiles to determine areas of strength, weakness, opportunity and threat
- Perform link acquisition tactics such as reclamation or broken link building to strengthen a client’s performance in the market
- Perform content analysis, identifying sub-optimal optimisation elements such as headers, internal links, content depth and relevance to keyword and topic targets
- Write metadata based on quantitative keyword research
- Provide technical recommendations around major areas such as page speeds, schema, Hreflang and crawl depth
- Analyse quantitative keyword research to identify content gaps on client websites. Provide structural recommendations (IA) to capture new and relevant keyword targets to maximise SEO visibility and revenue
- Provide URL optimisations including taxonomy, path and file naming
- Analyse site crawls and log files to provide technical recommendations around crawl errors. Recommend relevant optimisations including
- redirects, XML sitemaps, meta robots and canonical tags
- Perform site migrations, replatforming, IA restructures and website design refreshes - mitigate risk and maximise performance
- Compile and present broad SEO strategy documents which outline thorough research and justifications for the proposed roadmap
- Create content briefs based on quantitative data, seasonal analysis and client insights on promotional campaigns
- Analyse numerous data points across multiple platforms to identify the cause of any dropped visibility or decline in organic performance
- Remain up to date with industry trends and technological developments to assist with maximising the value we provide to clients
- All other administrative and technical tasks as required
- Minimum three to five years in SEO within a corporate organisation or large agency
- In depth knowledge in any of these SEO toos (Ahrefs/SEMrush/Google Search Console/Google Analytics)
- Intermediate knowledge of at least HTML (CSS and JavaScript knowledge nice to have)
- Experience with major analytics platforms
- Experience across multiple CMS platforms are nice to have (Wordpess, Silverstripe, Shopify)
- Can demonstrate leadership skills
- Skilled in website analysis
- Preferably with eCommerce experience
- Capable of collaborating with multiple stakeholders
