Flight dispatchers use a variety of means and technologies, from operational planning tools to electronic systems, to maintain contact with the aircraft and all the various service providers.Main Responsibilities - Tasks
- Prepare the flight dispatch documentation.
- Share responsibility with the captain for the safety and operational control of flights under his/her guidance.
- Analyze and evaluate meteorological information to determine potential hazards to the safety of flight and to select the most desirable & economic air route. Evaluate & re-evaluate weather at the departure & arrival sites, along the flight route, and similarly assess any other factors enroute. Also evaluate weather conditions at alternate airports in the event of an emergency landing.
- Prepare flight plans containing information such as maximum allowable takeoff & landing weights, weather reports, field conditions, NOTAMs and many other informational components required for the safe completion of flight.
- Update the pilot in command on significant changes to weather or flight plan and recommend flight plan alternates, such as changing course, altitude and, if required, enroute landings in the interest of safety and economy.
- Delay or cancel the flight if unsafe conditions threaten the safety of his/her aircraft or passengers.
- Compute the amount of fuel required for the safe completion of flight according to type of aircraft, distance of flight, maintenance limitations, weather conditions and minimum fuel requirements prescribed by aviation regulations.
- Evaluate & review aircraft weight, cargo loads and fuel loads.
- Monitor weather conditions, aircraft position reports, and aeronautical navigation charts to evaluate the progress of flight. Also monitor all activities after the airplane is grounded and ensure compliance with all procedures.
- Coordinate with various parties such as air traffic control, air safety department and other relevant agencies to facilitate smooth operation of entire fleet.
- Provide flight dispatch and planning services to company management based on company policies and procedures.

English: B2/C1OtherThe Flight Dispatch Office is in LEVEL's OCC at the Barcelona headquarters. This task requires flexible working hours. It also requires a shift work system, as flights can be operated at any time of the day, which means that the flight dispatcher must work in 12-hour rotating shifts, covering 24 hours a day.Knowledge of AIMS and LIDO would be an asset.LocationBarcelonaOur benefits 💙💚
