
Senior Analyst - Enhanced Due Diligence

- Perform initial & ongoing CDD assessments for Rabobank Australia clients to ensure accurate completion/ submissions & the bank’s regulatory obligations - including but not limited to the AML/CTF Act
- Provide quality assurance & peer review support to more junior Analysts to increase knowledge & enhance quality
- Undertake Event Driven CDD activities escalated by Compliance or internal FEC Operations teams & ensure satisfactory completion within the allowable time frame as dictated by regulation / policy
- Complete PEP & Adverse Media & Sanctions screening requirements for CDD reviews & perform the materiality assessment when escalation or additional due diligence is required
- Conduct in-depth transactional analysis as part of ongoing CDD activities to ensure there are no inconsistencies observed in relation to the expected behaviour of the Client
- Undertake the following responsibilities to assist the Bank in complying with FATCA/CRS obligations to identify & report on clients who have a foreign tax obligation
- Check that FATCA/CRS on boarding forms have been completed accurately & in full & determine the FATCA/CRS classification of each NTB customer
- Act on changes to customer CDD information which may indicate a change in foreign taxpayer status
- Support the respective businesses in managing their risk by ensuring alignment to a standardised approach to customer due diligence processes
- Collaborate with in-house risk & compliance SMEs to ensure optimal outcomes with a specific focus in CDD & AML/CTF
- Collaborate with the business lines to develop front to back policies, standards & procedures & ensure changes are promptly documented & communicated to teams
- Assist in fostering productive relationships with all key stakeholders across Rabobank & to develop stakeholder management to ensure each Business Line’s requirements are met
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial industry, specifically financial crime experience in a complex or enhanced due diligence environment
- Experience working for a global bank highly regarded
- Well-rounded knowledge of financial crime areas such as Sanctions, PEP, transaction monitoring highly regarded
- A background in AML is strongly preferred with industry accreditation such as ACAMS or ICA is an advantage
- General understanding in Regulatory requirements, solutions & frameworks
- Experience working across multiple activities in a fast-paced, dynamic, & collaborative environment
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills
