The work we do here matters.Department Overview HF Radio Systems Implementation and Support Senior EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and highly skilled HF Radio Systems Implementation and Support Senior Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of HF radio communication systems for the LACR region. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to ensure the smooth operation and functionality of HF radio systems, as well as provide technical support to clients and end-users. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HF radio systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain HF radio communication systems for various applications and industries but mainly public safety and armed forces.
Collaborate with a team of engineers to develop innovative solutions and improvements for HF radio systems.
Conduct system analysis, performance testing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality and performance of HF radio systems.
Provide technical support to clients and end-users, including system configuration, diagnosis of problems, and resolution of technical issues.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, installation guidelines, and troubleshooting procedures.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in HF radio technology to ensure the implementation of cutting-edge solutions.
Assist in the training and mentoring of junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance the team's overall capabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, project management, and customer support, to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Participate in field visits and on-site installations when necessary, ensuring the proper implementation and integration of HF radio systems.

Basic Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and supporting HF radio communication systems.
Strong knowledge of HF radio technology, including modulation techniques, propagation characteristics, and antenna design.
Proficient in using HF radio testing and measurement equipment.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to HF radio systems, such as ITU-R recommendations and FCC rules.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Prior experience in training and mentoring junior engineers is a plus.
Availability for travel to customer sites for system installations and troubleshooting.
Fluent English.
