- Compiling Contract Files and checking customer data and specifications.
- Checking budgets and technical information at sales handover before manufacture.
- Scheduling project programme.
- The creation, issuing, and maintaining the timing of plans.
- The liaison and coordination with the design engineers and manufacturing team.
- Dealing with contract variations.
- Preparing new quotations.
- Compiling risk assessments and method statements for site installations.
- Liaising with the clients.
- Ensuring completion of the project to the customer requirements.
- Compiling project buy-off documentation.
- Compiling and presenting Project Reports.
- Producing accurate and detailed quotations
- Producing detailed work schedules, resources and project plans
- Assisting with bid proposals & contract negotiations
- Planning and managing resources, both sub-contract and direct labour
- Reporting progress, managing risks, and responding to issues
- Building & developing strong client relationships
- Previous experience working as a project or contracts engineer.
- Work experience in the automotive industry is an advantage.
- Preferred work experience within Automotive First Tier Suppliers.
- Previous experience in either machine builds or jig and fixtures manufacturing.
- Understanding of automation systems.
- Knowledge of design software packages SolidWorks, Catia or AutoCAD.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work in a small team.
- Ability to price projects and issue quotes
- Ability to manage projects from conception to completion including all labour & material requirements.
- Be customer interactive.
- Able to design and create project specifications.
