There is only one vacancy available, due to a maternity leave, but we welcome applications for either position.The Joseph Rowntree School is looking to appoint an outstanding, talented and enthusiastic Head of Food & Textiles Technology and Health & Social Care. You will combine excellent organisational and management skills with the ability to lead, inspire and motivate both staff and students in order to lead the development and delivery of the Food & Textiles Technology and Health & Social Care curriculum covering Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.The successful applicant must:
  • be passionate and committed to improving teaching and learning.
  • have excellent interpersonal and presentational skills.
  • have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers and the wider community.
  • be receptive to change and have the ability to work under pressure.
  • be flexible, collaborative and resilient.
  • maximise the potential of students of all abilities.
  • have a passion for Food & Textiles Technology and Health & Social Care and the ability to share this with young people.
  • be able to teach to A level and all abilities.
