OverviewWorking within a team of qualified and part qualified actuaries
How you'll make an impactActing as an actuarial and consulting assistant for portfolio of
clients
- Handling the preparation of valuations and cost estimates
- Undertaking and supervising accounting disclosures (FRS17,
- Coordinating data collection including editing and testing data
- Undertaking and checking all aspects of actuarial work
- Preparing letters, reports and other client materials
- Assisting in developing administrative procedures and forms
- Checking day to day individual calculations as requested
- Participating in Buck internal projects, handling special projects
- Assisting scheme consultants with the consultancy aspects of
- Establishing strong working relationships with clients
- Preparing for and attending client meetings
- Providing leadership, feedback and training to actuarial analysts
- Building up consulting knowledge on actuarial and non-actuarial
- On qualification, to progress towards obtaining a Scheme
clients and acting as a client manager for a number of these
- Peer reviewing and ensuring own work is peer reviewed as
- Maintaining accurate time recording and charging to clients
- Staying abreast with applicable regulatory bodies
- Adhering to Corporate Policies and Procedures (CCPs)
- Reporting any suspected breaches to management/compliance
