JOB PURPOSE / PROJECT DESCRIPTIONThis is defined as a research scientist position for the research line of freshwater-related ecosystem services for an excellent candidate to pursue and further develop the research line. The objective is to coordinate ongoing research projects, and to prepare and submit research proposals for competitive calls, as well as for KTT contracts with the public or private sector. Furthermore, the research scientist will supervise the research technician currently associated with the research line, and at least one PhD student (starting July 1st, 2024).KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:The successful candidate will will further develop the research line on freshwater-related ecosystem services, coordinating ongoing projects and developing new proposals for the research line, ensuring its continuity and growth over the following years. Furthermore, the successful candidate will become a Principal Investigator (PI) of ICRA and participate in the implementation of the strategic plan and other institute related tasks.RequirementsResearch Field Environmental science Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsEXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & SELECTION CRITERIAMust Have - RequiredResearch Field or Field of knowledge:Environmental sciences or similarQualifications and Education Level:PhD in environmental sciences or similar.Skills:Good oral and written skills, proficient in English. Experience in GIS software, R, and Phyton language.Required Languages:Advanced English, Spanish, Knowledge of Catalan language will be valued.Required Experience:At least 4 years as postdoc in a research institution.
