Our projects vary from large portal frame industrial warehouses and multi-storey office buildings to prestige and high-profile stadia steel structures and leisure venues.Severfield Nuclear and Infrastructure are looking for an Apprentice Detailer to join our drawing office team, based at our site in Lostock, Bolton.You will be working alongside our in-house design and steel detailing teams using the latest Tekla Structures 3D modelling software to progress structural steel design and production of information for use in our manufacturing and construction sites. As part of the apprenticeship, you will receive the training required to develop your CAD skills and job knowledge to a level of proficiency and confidence where you will be responsible for liaising with Architectural and Engineering teams to coordinate detailing requirements for the final assembled structure and production of material reports and drawings including GA (General Arrangement Drawings), fabrication and site erection packages.The successful candidates will work in our Lostock office, learning the role from our experienced detailers who will be mentoring you throughout your journey. You will also study, 1 day a week, remotely with T3 training, to gain the theoretical knowledge alongside your practical skills.Applicants need to have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s (Grade 9 - 4 /A*- C) in Maths, English and Science or equivalent. We are looking for people who have a passion, a natural interest in constriction, along with analytical, problem-solving skills. To be successful you will need to demonstrate why you want to be part of working in the construction industry through digital engineering and design.
